Thomas E. Curtis (7/3/1908 - 3/16/87) married Emma Douglass (Toney)(3/6/1908 - 10/19/2007) and they had 10 children from that union. Their names are: Thomas B. Curtis (Gail), Emma Rebecca Washington (Leonard); Emily Marie Price (Eugene); Thomas Edward, Jr.; Robert Vincent (Ruby Gaithers); Bernard Eugene (8/31/-45 - 7/2/66), Joan Elizabeth Greene (Lavelle); Erma Regina Collier (Norris); Edith Louise Curtis (deceased March 27, 1957); Gabriella Evaline Teh (Tarty); Gabriel Everett Curtis (Bernice).
Thomas met and married Emma on July 3, 1935. He and his family lived on Valley Lane in Upper Marlboro from July 1938 until July 1982. Thomas was a very hard worker and can rightfully be described as a work-aholic. He retired from the Post Office in Upper Marlboro, MD in 1976 after 39 years of service. When the Post Office was built on Main Street, Thomas helped with the construction. He resigned as town police officer of Upper Marlboro, MD in the 1950s and retired in 1980 after 40 years as sexton for Trinity Church.
